Zangaroa Announces Security Consultation Services, Advises Businesses to Take Heed

For Immediate Release on February 1, 2010 2:42 AM | Permalink

The Internet - Today, Zangaroa Web Development announced the introduction of Security Consultation to its wide range of services.

"The internet is a dangerous place" advised public relations czar Carlo Von Sexron over a web conference consisting of clients and business partners. "More and more companies are finding themselves the result of hacking attacks, whether it be their web servers or e-mail accounts. And lets face it people, those with a complete lack of security strategy in place are the most likely to suffer extreme damages by hackers."

However, Carlo also warned against tactics such as social engineering and phishing. "Many people that get hacked don't even realize that they were. All too often, somebody falls trap for a fake login page for their favorite social network, and end up giving up precious login details. And even more often, they share passwords across multiple accounts, which gives people access to things such as e-mail boxes or even online banking accounts." Carlo then pointed to a document that they found had been anonymously uploaded to popular text sharing site Pastebin, which contained the usernames and passwords of many social networking and e-mail accounts. "Many of these accounts were never touched, and the owners don't suspect a thing. With a proper security strategy, they wouldn't have found their accounts on this document, though they likely won't ever find out about it until somebody uses the details to get into their accounts."

Zangaroa Revives "VGRC" Brand - Zangaroa Blog Undergoes Facelift

For Immediate Release on January 14, 2010 8:22 PM | Permalink

The Internet - After being shelved in August 2009, Zangaroa Enterprises announced early this morning their intention to revive the VGRC brand name.

VGRC, which launched in July 2003, ran continuously as a video game news and reviews blog until last August, when it was absorbed into the Zangaroa Network and retooled as a general entertainment and internet culture blog, dubbed, "The Zangaroa Blog."

Speaking over a private VOIP conferencing session, public relations czar Carlo Von Sexron expressed regret over shelving the VGRC name.

"While the time had come for VGRC as strictly a game-oriented website, in hindsight the time had not come for VGRC." Indeed, despite functioning as nothing more than a 301 redirect, the VGRC.net domain has continued to hold a surprisingly strong presence with search engine behemoth Google.

The blog, which is once again running on the VGRC.net domain, will continue to function as before, focusing on topics such as music, the internet, culture jamming, and of course, gaming.

"Bringing back the VGRC name will not change the content of the blog. It will continue to cover a wide variety of topics, based off the interests of its readers and its editorial staff," assured Carlo. "VGRC will continue to function as the creative outlet of the Zangaroa community. Plus, this gives us the opportunity to revive old VGRC features from our archives," he continued, referring to the 2008 relaunch of the site that resulted in much of the 2003-2007 content being lost to the public.

Zangaroa Jumps Into Facebook Development

For Immediate Release on October 21, 2009 4:24 AM | Permalink

Holyoke, MA - Zangaroa Enterprises announced early this morning that their internet advancement firm, Zangaroa Web Development, had jumped into the ring of Facebook Development.

"We are very exited about our future prospects" remarked public relations officer Carlo Von Sexron at a press conference outside the company's new Holyoke, Massachusetts office. "While the advancements we've made with the Facebook API won't be ready for client services for another few months, we are proud to announce that we are outfitting ourselves to better serve our clients with cutting-edge tools to integrate their web deployment into the largest social network in the world."

Of course, Zangaroa is never one to make empty promises. As one stunned reporter started to ask if Zangaroa could back these lofty claims up, Carlo, with a wide grin on his face, turned on a projector which displayed the home page for the Zangaroa Forums.

"Already, our own community members can take advantage of these breakthroughs," continued Carlo, pointing to a new sidebar that displayed status updates posted by users of the fledgling message board. "Our users can not only post their own status updates, but they can connect their forum accounts to their Facebook accounts, and sync their Facebook data and profile photos back to their forum accounts. Furthermore, they can tell it to automatically sync it for them every 24 hours." Before more questions could be asked, Carlo quipped "Oh yeah, and Facebook users can log directly into the forums as well," as he walked inside the office, effectively closing the press conference.

In addition to being able to offer Facebook integration services to clients, Zangaroa Web Development is also in the process of overhauling their website, which will include information on the company's soon-to-launch web hosting and server administration operations.

Zangaroa Enterprises Announces Launch of Press Room

For Immediate Release on August 17, 2009 10:37 PM | Permalink

Torrington, CT - Zangaroa Enterprises today announced the launch of its all-new Press Room, designed to give journalists and bloggers worldwide the complete tools they need to cover Zangaroa Enterprises on their publication.

"This has been a long time coming," remarked Carlo Von Sexron, company spokesman and Chief of PR during a private conference earlier today. "While Zangaroa has certainly gained a strong foothold in the Internet development arena, we haven't had a way to reach out to the media, nor our customers, whenever we add new services or augment our existing skill set."

Such a statement could refer to the recent acquisition of former video game website, VGRC, which went virtually unnoticed due to an admitted lack of major PR campaign to advertise the takeover.

"We have learned from our mistakes, and are coming back stronger than before," said Carlo to an enthusiastic and cheering crowd, carrying signs that read "7/16 NEVER FORGET," and "SAY BYE IT'S YOUR LAST TIME IN THE INTERNET;" presumably a taunt to competiting firms.

The Zangaroa Press Room, located at press.zangaroa.com, is a publicly-accessible domain, powered by Movable Type Open Source to deliver press releases not only through the press room, but also via RSS syndication through Feedburner as well as Twitter.

"Many corporate PR websites oftentimes are hidden behind gateways where only journalists given access by the company press representatives can visit. We find this counter-productive to public relations, as this limits our exposure to just people we personally know and approve of. We don't care if you're a writer for CNN, or just have your own personal blog: If you or your readers have an interest in our company, then we make these services available to use at your discretion."

When asked by a reporter about future plans for the fledgling company, Carlo hinted at possibly opening the long-awaited PR services division of Zangaroa Enterprises, where the company can be subcontracted out by other businesses to handle public relations for them. "We've been putting it off for awhile to develop other parts of the business, but the time is coming closer. Naturally, we have to have our own successful PR operation to show that we are worth hiring, so this is just a step along that path. But we're getting there."

Zangaroa's corporate homepage, which links to the available services the company provides, as well as syndicated headlines from its new blog, can be found at www.zangaroa.com
